Oak Creek City Clerk Announces Retirement

Bauer employed by city for 22 years.

Oak Creek City Clerk Pam Bauer has announced her retirement after a 22-year career with the city.

In a letter to Mayor Dick Bolender and Oak Creek aldermen, Bauer said she had "mixed feelings" in making the announcement.

A lifelong resident of Oak Creek, Bauer said she is proud of what the city has accomplished and was pleased to work with "a fantastic group of elected officials and hard-working, dedicated city employees."

She plans to spend her retirement, which is effective Nov. 1, focusing on family and friends, relaxing and pursuing hobbies and projects that were put on hold, she said.

Bauer's position is up for election in April. The term is currently two years but the next clerk under changes passed by the Common Council.
