Oak Creek Man Wins Court Battle With FBI

A federal jury ruled in favor of Oak Creek High School graduate Justin Slaby, who sued the FBI for discrimination.

A federal jury on Wednesday ruled in favor of Oak Creek native Justin Slaby, who sued the FBI for discrimination, according to a Journal Sentinel report.

Slaby, an Oak Creek High School graduate, lost his job as an FBI special agent because the agency believed he could not fire a handgun with his prosthetic hand, according to the report. Slaby, who served three combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, lost his left hand in a training accident in 2004.

Slaby will now get his job back and was also awarded $75,000 in the jury's decision, the newspaper reported.
