O.C. Residents To Be Interviewed For Health Survey

A group of health organizations is assessing the health of the community and will interview about 400 Oak Creek residents by phone.

Officials say the survey, which will be conducted from now through mid-August, will help guide governments, nonprofit and volunteer organizations in their future decision-making.

"I would encourage all residents of Oak Creek to help us with this research," Oak Creek Health Officer Judi Price said. "If you are among those who receive a phone call, please take the time to answer the survey questions."

The survey takes about 18 minutes to complete and focuses on issues such as access to health care, tobacco use, alcohol use, diet, physical activity, cancer prevention and more. Responses are completely anonymous.

The survey in Oak Creek is paid for through a grant from Aurora, Children's Hospital, Columbia St. Mary's, Wheaton Franciscan and Froedtert.
