Oak Creek's 2012 Budget To Be Finalized Monday

Proposal doesn't raise property tax levy thanks to changes in employee compensation.

The Oak Creek Common Council tonight is scheduled to adopt the city's 2012 budget.

The proposal thanks in large part to . Employees are paying more for their health insurance, which was a change approved by the council, and also saw their pension costs rise under the controversial Act 10 bill approved by the state Legislature.

Also in the budget is to use the city's recycling yard, which would also mean a reduction in the yard's hours.
