Oak Creek Sets Trick-or-Treat Time
Youngsters will go door to door in the late afternoon hours of Sunday, Oct. 30.
It's not too early to think about Halloween - Oak Creek has established 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30 as its official 2011 trick-or-treat time.
Some city officials wanted the time to match up with Milwaukee's to cut down on the number of non-residents coming into Oak Creek. That issue has come up in the past, and suburban leaders have discussed implementing a uniform trick-or-treat time throughout Milwaukee County.
Pam Bauer, however, said Milwaukee's time was still unclear, so the Common Council went ahead and concurred with the Celebration Commission's recommendation.
