Oak Creek Subdivision Plans Expansion

Forty-four lots will be added to a subdivision near West Middle School.

After getting derailed by the economy collapse in 2008, plans are back on to expand the Glen Crossing subdivision, off 13th Street across from West Middle School.

Developers are planning to add 44 lots over two phases, with work set to begin next spring. The lots will be at least 80 feet wide and 12,000 square feet each, according to a report to Plan Commission members.

A representative of Glen Crossing LLC told the Plan Commission that developers "plan to continue the quality of the development as we move to the south."

Alderman Dan Bukiewicz, whose district encompasses the subdivision, said he was pleased to see signs of economic conditions improving.

"With the market coming back, it's another addition to the city tax base," he said.
