Oak Creek Will Propose Town Center At Delphi Site

Final public-input meeting will be held Oct. 31.

Oak Creek city leaders will present a plan for a town center at the former Delphi site during a meeting Oct. 31.

Officials say the concept is similar to Bayshore Town Center in Glendale and would include a mix of retail, restaurants, offices, housing and recreational space.

The town center plan emerged following two , according to a news release issued Wednesday afternoon. The Oct. 31 meeting will finalize the recommended plans for Delphi, 7929 S. Howell Ave., as well as the existing Civic Center site at the corner of Puetz and Howell avenues.

The plan for Delphi will include one option with a relocated Oak Creek City Hall and public library and one option without those buildings.

Residents are invited to give their input at the meeting, which will be held at 7 p.m. at the , 8580 S. Howell Ave.

The Common Council will make the final decision on the plan for Delphi and is expected to do so by the end of the year.
