Officials Tout Improved Safety Along 27th Street

Changes made have benefited motorists on 27th, Milwaukee alderman says.

Local government officials say a series of streetscaping enhancements and intersection changes has dramatically improved safety along 27th Street, according to a report from Fox 6.

Milwaukee Alderman Terry Witkowski, who district includes a few shared intersections with Oak Creek, said in a news release that traffic accidents are down on 27th Street after more emphasis was put on making intersections safer.

Witkowski said law enforcement officials from Milwaukee, Greenfield, Franklin and Oak Creek partnered with the state Department of Transportation and AAA Wisconsin on those initiatives.
