Yesterday, Paul Ryan said “I will never forget the moment (9/11) that our homeland came under attack.” So, why did Paul Ryan FORGET 9/11 first responders and VOTED TWICE AGAINST the bill to provide them necessary healthcare, and then he was not present when the third vote PASSED the 9/11 First Responder Healthcare Bill! http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/09/on-eve-of-911-anniversary-paul-ryans-opposition-to-first-responders-bill-revisited/ http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/09/11/1130324/-Paul-Ryan-Voted-AGAINST-9-11-First-Responders-3X-Romney-Failed-To-Thank-9-11-First-Responders Paul Ryan is an EXTREMIST and a liar.

Marty - Waiting for your correction to my statement. Until then, it stands as TRUTH: That is a word that Paul Ryan and his followers obviously have a problem with.

It's the truth only because you leave out the core reason behind the vote. He expressed clearly that everything should be done to help first responders, go look at his actual statement on the house floor when they resumed in January of 2010, but as usual, the democrats wanted a bill that lacks fiscal responsibility and which excluded the republicans from having a say in the funding for it. Over 160 members of congress were not present for the final passage, not just Ryan as it was at the start of the Christmas holiday break. The lameduck democrat controlled congress changed the rule to get it through with a simple majority vote at that time. Ryan is easily painted as heartless and unsympathetic, but he's actually one of the few people who realize that spending is our of control and we have serious issues. He's a breath of fresh air in that he seems like the only adult in the room who says our debt is a critical problem and we can't just keep spending without a real plan to support these programs. Democrats seem to just want to stick their fingers in their ears and cry "lalalalala" and ignore this. It's not about right and wrong, it's about being on the verge of economic collapse and everyone pretending like the money is there when it's not!

Correction. Resumption was in January of 2011.

You got that right. Plus they are Union workers. And.... Did they vote for the Job Bills? Did they vote for Jobs for returning Veterans? Did they vote to end Medicare and Social Security? Did their refusal to vote cause our credit rating to go down? Did they vote to close Health Clinics for women? Did they vote to get rid of Unions? Did they vote to end even minimum wage? Did they vote to give the rich another tax cut? Did they vote for even less banking rules? Are they attempting to prevent some American citizens for voting at all? Did they want the car companies to go belly up? Do they swear their allegiance to Grover Norquist or to their constituents? Did they vote for Equal Work for Equal Pay for women?
