Oak Creek's congressman will hold a listening session Oct. 20 at the . It's one of six listening sessions he has scheduled in southeastern Wisconsin over a three-day span.

Ryan "will speak with residents and discuss solutions that would put the budget on path to balance and the nation on a path to prosperity," according to a news release.

“These listening sessions provide a great opportunity for me to discuss the major legislative proposals before Congress, answer questions, and address the concerns of First District residents," Ryan said in the news release. "With the nation’s debt exceeding $14 trillion and job creation virtually stagnant, Wisconsinites remain eager for solutions and hopeful that leaders in Washington will help get our economy back on track."

The event is scheduled to last from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
