PHOTOS: Bolender Honored at Arbor Day Event

City also demonstrates tree planting in event at municipal services building.

Former Mayor Dick Bolender was honored Friday with a tree planted in his memory at Oak Creek's annual Arbor Day celebration.

The city plants a tree outside the municipal services building, 800 W. Puetz Road, every Arbor Day. The event included a tree-planting demonstration led by City Forester Rebecca Lane.

This year's tree was planted in memory of Bolender, who died in December. A few dozen people, including many city officials and Bolender's family, were on hand for the event.
