Oak Creek Reportedly Completes Purchase of Lakefront Land
The city plans to develop a public park on the property at 9006 S. 5th Ave., which it bought for $600,000, according to a report.
Oak Creek has completed a $600,000 purchase of about 31 acres at the lakefront, according to a Milwaukee Business Journal report.
The Common Council approved purchasing the land from Wispark . City officials have said they on the property, 9006 S. 5th Ave., as part of ongoing lakefront redevelopment efforts.
While a mix of residential, retail and commercial uses are planned, Oak Creek officials say the park will be the first component constructed, which could happen in late 2012 or 2013.
