Officials said the new design may reduce the overall cost of the project, though they didn't offer specific figures.

Oak Creek community development officials unveiled a new plan Tuesday that might reduce the overall cost of the Drexel Town Square development.

The new plan will reposition the proposed city hall and add new parking spaces, as presented by Community Development Director Doug Seymour at Tuesday's Common Council meeting.

Officials said this may bring down the construction costs for the project, for which $19.5 million has been budgeted. That figure includes funds for the city hall and library, along with the fire station on East Centennial Drive.

They did not offer any specific figures for a decrease in cost, though.
