Supervisor Taylor To Host Town Hall Meetings
Residents can weigh in on the proposed county budget later this month at Oak Creek and Franklin city halls.
Milwaukee County Supervisor Steve Taylor will host a pair of town hall meetings later this month to discuss the proposed county budget.
Two meetings will be held Oct. 23: from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Oak Creek City Hall, 8640 S. Howell Ave., and 7 to 8 p.m. at Franklin City Hall, 9229 W. Loomis Road.
"I invite residents to provide their valuable input and to identify priorities in the Milwaukee County 2014 proposed operating budget," Taylor said in a news release. "I'm looking forward to open and honest discussion about issues facing Milwaukee County government."
County Executive Chris Abele's proposed budget calls for a tax levy freeze, wage and health-care cost increases for county employees and changes to the Sheriff's Office budget, according to a Journal Sentinel report.
