Storm Water Focus of Lakefront Redevelopment Meeting

City seeks input on plan to control storm water at proposed development along Lake Michigan.

The city of Oak Creek is holding a public information meeting next month to talk about its storm water management plan for the lakefront development.

The meeting, set for 4 to 6 p.m. July 15, will provide information about the storm water master plan that's being prepared as part as of the overall lakefront development.

That plan will look at things like drainage, Lake Michigan water quality and what steps are needed to reduce erosion from runoff.

Oak Creek officials have formulated a plan that calls for a mix of private and public investment on 250 acres north of Bender Park and east of Fifth Avenue.
It includes residential, commercial, retail and a park. (Read more specifics about the plans and view the entire lakefront redevelopment action plan here)

The meeting will take place at City Hall, 8640 S. Howell Ave. For more information, call 768-5857.
