Get Up-Close Glimpse of County Government Thursday

Residents of Oak Creek, and all of Milwaukee County, are invited to an open house Thursday.

Milwaukee County government is ready for its close-up.

Oak Creek residents, and everyone else who lives in Milwaukee County, are invited to an event Thursday showcasing the courthouse and the county's programs and services.

Residents can meet their county supervisor, county executive and other elected officials. People can take tours of the courthouse and visit a county department resource fair, which features helpful information and special exhibits on services Milwaukee County offers.

"Milwaukee County government is transparent and accountable, and we look forward to showcasing the services we provide on behalf of Milwaukee County residents," Supervisor Peggy West said in a news release.

Residents can stop in for the free event between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the courthouse, 901 N. 9th St., Milwaukee. Tours and information will be presented throughout the day.
