Friday: Oak Creek Football After-Party

Hello, Oak Creek Football Fan. I see you in the stands there, with the clock winding down in the fourth quarter of another Knights' victory. But you look like you are not yet ready to wind down. 

You'd love a place to gather with other fans after the game and shoot the breeze about what happened or converse about goings-on away from the field. But alas, there doesn't appear to be any options around.

Or is there?

Starting Friday, there will be. 

Oak Creek Patch is teaming up with to co-host parties after home football games, beginning with the Sept. 9 border battle between Oak Creek and Franklin.

From 9-11 p.m., you can come to Tazinos - conveniently located a stone's throw from the l at 8201 S. Howell Ave. - to eat some pizza while photos and video from that night's game are up on the television screens.

It's not just for football fans or parents, either. Cheerleaders, band members, students...every aspect of the game will be represented on the big screens. If things get too crowded inside, part of the outside will be blocked off and accessible as well.

The pizza starts at $5.99 for cheese, $6.99 for pepperoni, sausage and veggie and $7.99 for the Knight Special. Drinks (soda and water) are unlimited for $1.99.

Depending on how this works out, we're hoping to do this for other sports in the future, so stay tuned for details on that.
