About 300 people participated in the Oak Creek-Franklin Foundation for Education run/walk held earlier this month.
The organization was pleased with the turnout and hopes to expand on it next year by creating partnerships with local fitness clubs, Superintendent Sara Burmeister said.
A 5k run was part of the event for the first time this year.
