Mock Car Crash: Behind the Scenes

See the actors prepare for Thursday's event.

Ninety minutes before students gathered outside Oak Creek High School for a mock car crash, members of Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) met at Oak Creek Fire Station 1 to get ready.

About 22 students and the group's advisor, Julie Shandley, were inside the station, while Oak Creek firefighters and police officers set up the scene outside.

The crash scene served as a reminder to students about the consequences of dangerous behavior, like drinking and driving or driving while talking on a cell phone. The event came two days before prom and a few weeks ahead of graduation.
