Oak Creek Homecoming Week Under Way

The parade is coming up at 6 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a pep rally and football game on Friday.

Homecoming week at Oak Creek High School is in full swing.

Festivities kick into high gear with a parade at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Floats from many OCHS clubs, teams and organizations will travel around the grounds of the high school, 340 E. Puetz Road.

The parade starts at Edgewood Elementary School, goes north to Groveland Drive, then west on Groveland to Knights Way before proceeding south on Knights Way and finishing in the high school parking lot.

Immediately following the parade is the annual powder-puff game, which will see junior and senior girls do battle in flag football.

A pep rally will be held inside the gymnasium at 2 p.m. Friday before the week comes to its conclusion with the football game at 7 p.m. Friday and the dance from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday.

The Knights, ranked fourth by the Journal Sentinel, look to stay undefeated against Kenosha Tremper.

The dance, meanwhile, has a theme of "Under the Sea."
