School Board Honors Youth Art Winners

Artwork was on display at Oak Creek High School in celebration of Youth Art Month.

A packed house was on hand for Monday night's Oak Creek-Franklin School Board meeting, but there was no controversy on this occasion.

Numerous students from kindergarten through eighth grade attended with their proud parents to accept their Best in Show awards, given in conjunction with Youth Art Month.

Art teachers had the difficult task of choosing from roughly 4,000 pieces of artwork. The winning pieces were put on display at Oak Creek High School, and students collected certificates from the school board Monday.
