All-Conference Honors Roll In For Oak Creek Athletes

With the fall sports season wrapped up, the awards and recognition have come streaming in for Oak Creek High School student-athletes.

The following is a list, provided by the high school, of all-conference selections:

Boys Soccer: Alek Babic, Zach Zelten, Dylan Johnson, Christian Alfaro, Brad Ploch, Matt Hargreaves, Dakota Slone, John Nichol.

Babic was also named to the Journal Sentinel's All-Area team.

Girls Tennis: Tiffany Hoskins, Julia Marin, Megan Kos, Lauren Ungerecht, Christine Dutkiewicz, Cebrina Orosz, Lauren Fischer.

Boys Cross Country: Austin Zajkowski.

Girls Cross Country: Shannon Dugan, Serena Hukarevic.

Volleyball: Quincey Anderson, Alayna Quinn, Aliina Klatt.

Girls Swimming: Angela Fleischman.

Football: Zach Harvey, Nathan Veloz, Aaron Lemke, Virgil Hammond, Ian DeChambre, Kyle Koepsel, Jordan Veloz, Dylan Oleszak, Alex Hahn, Steve Abbott, Derrick Stephan, Nick Baumann, Austin Sirovina, Bianca Alarcon, Peter Mitchell, Peter Jakus, Doran Turchin.

The football team's undefeated regular season netted them several additional honors.

Virgil Hammond was named SEC offensive player of the year and Alex Hahn the SEC defensive player of the year.

Hammond, Hahn and Koepsel received all-region and all-state honors. DeChambre was also named to the all-region team.

Coach Mike Bartholomew, meanwhile, got the SEC coach of the year award and Coach Steve Hluchnik was named SEC assistant coach of the year.
