Former Oak Creek Football Coach Inducted Into Hall of Fame

Joe Koch, who won more than 100 games as Oak Creek head football coach, has been inducted into the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

Former Oak Creek Head Football Coach Joe Koch was inducted into the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame over the weekend.

Koch coached the Knights from 1992 to 2005, compiling a record of 107-36. His overall record as a head coach, which also includes stints at Whitefish Bay Dominican and Milwaukee Pius, is 145-60.

He won a state championship, twice coached teams to state runner-up finishes and appeared in the state semifinal three other times. Five of his players went on to play in the NFL.

He is currently an assistant coach at Brookfield Central, though he still works in the Oak Creek-Franklin School District as a teacher at East Middle School.

Koch was part of a class of 19 people inducted by the WFCA.
