Knights Begin State Tournament Friday
Oak Creek plays Cudahy at 5:30 p.m. at Abendschein Park. The winner advances to sectionals Monday at West Allis Hale.
The No. 1-seeded Oak Creek Knights baseball team begins state tournament play tonight at home against Cudahy.
First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at , 1321 E. Drexel Ave.
The Knights (23-7 overall) enter the postseason as second-place finishers in both the Greater Metro Conference regular season and tournament. They are led by GMC player of the year and infielder Tanner Johnson along with first-teamers Hayden Krimmer (infielder) and Austin Barbee (pitcher).

Cudahy comes in with a 16-13 overall record and beat New Berlin Eisenhower in the first round to advance to Friday's regional final. The Knights, as the top seed, had a bye.
Friday's winner will play the winner of Whitnall-Greendale Monday at West Allis Hale. Oak Creek has to win three straight games to advance to the state finals in Mequon.
