Rather than complaining, why don't some of you volunteer to work fundraisers and bring your ideas in front of the school board to help improve in areas YOU FEEL is important?

Tax dollars spent on the Football Field. Where else could those have funds gone to help our kids? The Board never asked. They approved Burmeister's order to put the field in. We get what we deserve. A board that caves to parents and an admin that is the board's tool But we have a great field and large class sizes and declining test scores. But who cares, the football parents are happy!

I just want to know a couple of things: OC Public Schools spends tax dollars to pay for the field. Send out some spew that it didn't raise taxes. ACT scores are down but that is the new WI Test. OC Public Schools has a disaster grading scale change that the Superintendent denies knowing about but all of us working in the schools heard her praising it in our training days. OC public schools are in the wrong hands. We get what we get I guess

Stay informed. The funds used had to be used in certain areas....could not be used for more staff...supplies...etc... It was a use it or lose it situation. Enough already...

The ignorance of people who do not attend the school board meetings and then speak for them is annoying. CB is exactly right -- this money was money that needed to be used for certain funding areas and could not be used for academics.
