OCHS Grad Beckum Helps Knock Out Packers

Tight end caught two passes Sunday.

This won't make the loss any easier for Green Bay Packers fans to swallow.

Former Oak Creek standout Travis Beckum caught two passes for 22 yards in the New York Giants' stunning 37-20 defeat of the Packers Sunday to eliminate Green Bay from the playoffs.

Beckum had a quiet year, statistics-wise, but also came up with a huge play in the teams' first meeting in December - a 67-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter of a game the Giants would eventually lose 38-35.

Beckum was a 2005 graduate of who went on to play at the University of Wisconsin.
