Thursday Showdown: Oak Creek Nips Franklin
Knights beat Sabers 4-3 in a battle of top-ranked teams.
Avenging a loss from earlier this year, the Oak Creek Knights won a much-anticipated showdown over Franklin on Thursday, beating the Sabers 4-3.
The Sabers and Knights came into the game ranked No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in the latest Journal Sentinel area poll.
With the win, the Knights move to 11-2 in conference (15-2 overall) and take a half-game lead in the Greater Metro Conference over 10-2 Franklin (13-2 overall).
