Two Big Events This Week at Community Center

The Oak Creek Community Center will host its annual beer festival and 'A Community United' fundraiser for Sikh temple victims this week.

A busy week is upcoming at the Oak Creek Community Center.

The nonprofit organization will host one of its largest annual fundraisers, Septembeerfest, as well as a benefit for Sikh temple shooting victims.

The beer festival is first, held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday both inside and outside the community center, 8580 S. Howell Ave.

The fest will have more than 100 craft brews to sample, as well as a cash bar, food for purchase, entertainment and raffles.

The event also offers a retro beer tent, with several popular brews from the 1970s and 80s, as well as the Malte Shoppe, featuring some of the newest and most popular malt beverages.

On Saturday, the community center will hold "A Community United," a benefit to support the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin and injured police officer Brian Murphy.

The event will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. and feature a chicken dinner, entertainment and raffles.

Tickets for both events are on sale now. Stop by the community center or call (414) 768-5840.
