Who Should Be Oak Creek Citizen of the Year?

Nominations are being sought for annual award.

The Oak Creek Citizen of the Year nominating committee is seeking suggestions on who should get this year's award.

The award is given out each year to residents active in making the community a better place to live. Last year's winner was .

So who should get the 2012 honor? Here's how residents can get involved with the nomination process:

The recipient may be a person, couple or group who live or work in the city of Oak Creek. Activities and accomplishments may be in one of the following categories: civic, social, welfare, education.

All nominations must include an attached statement describing the community involvement of the nominated person(s), listing the activities in which they have been engaged in, including:

  • The names of the groups and organizations they have served;
  • A description of the significant activity and accomplishments of the nominee.
  • How these activities have benefited the Oak Creek community and how they have made Oak Creek a better place to live, work or play.

Nominations should include the name, home address, email and phone number of the person submitting the nomination as well as the person being nominated. They should be submitted to:
