Kathleen Vinehout Discusses Gubernatorial Bid on Capitol City Sunday

From the Wisconsin Election Watch Election Blog,

MADISON – During an interview taped earlier in the week, State Senator Kathleen Vinehout made an appearance on WKOW-TV’s Capitol City Sunday to further discuss her bid for the Democratic nomination for Wisconsin Governor. Despite her bid for Governor is not official, she told the show’s host Greg Neumann “that people want to help” towards her effort for the Governor’s mansion. Over 375 people across the State of Wisconsin have signed up to volunteer to help her campaign according to the State Senator from Western Wisconsin. Also, she has already hired full-time staff to help her effort. During her interview, she attempted to make the case that she would be a viable alternative over former Commerce Secretary Mary Burke who is the only Democrat in the race so far. Vinehout said: “The real question is that are people ready for something different?” “What I have been hearing from people is they are fed up with money in politics. They are fed up with business as usual in politics. They want a voice.” This is the second appearance that Vinehout has made on a Sunday morning talk show in the past month. On November 18th, Senator Vinehout made an appearance of UPFRONT with Mike Gousha discussing her potential gubernatorial bid. The Senator will make a decision on running for Governor after the new year.
