In an official statement, Dimitrijevic said: “I will be ready on day one to fight for Milwaukee in Madison. As I talk with residents I represent in District 19, many say they are concerned about the current direction of our state.” “Wisconsin’s workers are part of the solution to our economy rebounding. I am proud to have growing support from the hard working men and women in labor who make up the backbone of our economy,” said the Milwaukee County Board Chairwoman.
Once announcing her candidacy, Chairwoman Dimitrijevic earned four endorsements for her campaign. Those include Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett (D- Milwaukee), Congresswoman Gwen Moore (D-Wisconsin, 4th District), SEIU Wisconsin State Council, and the Milwaukee County Deputy Sheriff’s Association.
