Someone broke into the business early Sunday morning and stole cell phones, according to police.
Oak Creek police found a back window smashed and discovered cell phones stolen from Advanced Technologies, an AT&T retailer at 8241 S. Howell Ave., early Sunday morning. Police were notified about 5:15 a.m. that a commercial burglary alarm was sounding at the business' back door, according to a police report. An officer arrived and found broken glass from a window on the door. After clearing the building, police found that a suspect or suspects had climbed a back display wall into the storage room. A 30-year-old Racine man is facing charges after he allegedly stole a box of cell phones destined for a Greenfield store while working at the Oak Creek UPS facility. Justin L. Benson was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of theft. If convicted, he faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines.
