Search our interactive campaign contribution database to see how much people in your town or across the state have donated to the two major presidential candidates.

Patch has created an interactive database so you can see how much your neighbors are donating to the presidential campaign—and to which candidate they’re writing their checks. We’ve included communities across Wisconsin, so if you want to see what the campaign contributions in nearby towns are like, go right ahead. The information in the database was downloaded from the Federal Election Commission’s website. The data is based on quarterly reports, and is current through the end of September.

Database: How Much Did Your Neighbors Give to Obama, Romney?

Mitt Romney is ahead in the Oak Creek funding race, though a higher number of people are giving to Barack Obama.

While polls show President Barack Obama may have more support from Wisconsin voters than candidate Mitt Romney, the studies also show the gap getting slightly closer. A Marquette University poll shows Obama leading Romney, 53 percent to 42 percent, different than the 54 percent to 40 percent lead Obama held in mid-September.  Oak Creek residents have given $7,885 to Romney and $3,799 to Obama through Aug. 31. The number of contributions varied widely — there were 79 individual contributions to Obama from Oak Creek residents and 12 to Romney.  The largest single donor on either side was Michael B. Mazur, who is self-employed; he made two $2,500 donations to Romney. Obama's largest single donation from Oak Creek was $500 given by Will Allen…

I don't give candidates one penny, most seeking higher level government positions (governor, senate, congressional, and presidential seats) are rich enough to fund their own campaign, and if they can't, well then they shouldn't be seeking the office. Besides, some of these people stretch too far to get your vote...commercials every commercial break on the TV...most people that are really into a …   more ›

Gov. Scott Walker Outraises Tom Barrett By Big Margin in Oak Creek

Incumbent Republican governor takes in over $13,000 in campaign contributions from city residents, while his Democratic opponent nets about $3,300.

Whether Gov. Scott Walker or Democrat Tom Barrett will win the gubernatorial recall election — or carry Oak Creek, for that matter — won't be known for sure until all the ballots are counted Tuesday night. What is known, however, is that when it comes to campaign contributions, the incumbent Republican governor has outraised the Milwaukee mayor by a more than 4-to-1 margin in Oak Creek. A Patch analysis of campaign finance reports filed last week with the state Government Accountability Board shows that Walker has raised $13,135 in Oak Creek. By comparison, Barrett took in $3,280 in Oak Creek since he launched his candidacy in March, campaign finance reports show. See who is donating to Barrett and Walker with Patch's interactive database …

This doesn't seem very accurate. I can't find my own name, and I gave money to Scott Walker.   more ›

When It Comes to Fundraising, Walker Crushes Democratic Opponents

Gov. Scott Walker has raised $13 million in campaign contributions this year, while his two key challengers in the recall race — Kathleen Falk and Tom Barrett — have taken in less than $1 million each.

Republican Gov. Scott Walker has raised $13 million in the most recent three-month reporting period in his effort to retain his seat in Wisconsin's historic recall election, new campaign finance reports showed. By comparison, Democratic challenger Kathleen Falk received nearly $1 million in contributions, while Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett netted $831,000 in the reporting period that ended April 23. Barrett, Falk and three other Democratic candidates are squaring off in the May 8 recall primary election. Walker, who has token opposition in the GOP primary,  will face the Democratic primary winner on June 5. In addition to raising big bucks, Walker’s campaign noted that it had a total of 125,926 contributions, many of which came from small …
