Rain Results in Icy Roads, Multiple Accidents Sunday
Two intersections in Oak Creek were the site of several crashes as drivers were unable to stop due to slippery conditions.
A steady drizzle Sunday resulted in slippery conditions at two major intersections in Oak Creek. Multiple crashes were reported at the intersection of 13th Street and Drexel Avenue, as well as Howell and Rawson avenues, Sunday afternoon and evening. No injures were reported. The first crash came at 3:50 p.m. at 13th and Drexel, when a 29-year-old Oak Creek woman slid through the intersection and knocked down a stoplight in the median, according to a police report. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
