National Winner Announced in Patch's Deck the House Contest

Georgia family receives thousands of votes to win Patch's Deck the House contest and $100,000 for their local school district.

In this year's Deck the House contest, the second time was the charm. Joseph Felix's home in Dallas, GA outshined the other 24 finalists to win the 2012 Deck the House contest and $100,000 for the Paulding County, GA school district. After placing second in the nationwide voting in the 2011 contest, the Felix home received nearly 11,000 votes this year to finally win Deck the House. The home, with 100,000 computer animated holiday lights choreographed to Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You," received about 300 more votes than a home in Coventry, R.I., which finished in second place. Enter Patch's “Deck the House” Contest For a Chance to Win $100,000

Did you decorate your house for the holidays this year? Enter our "Deck the House" contest and you could win $100,000 for your local school district and $500 to pay your electric bills!

We’re launching our annual Deck the House Contest to find the most over-the-top holiday decorations in America—the best “decked” house in the country—the one home so spectacularly decorated that everyone in town jokes your holiday decorations could rival Rockefeller Center’s. If this sounds like your house, upload a photo or video of your home to our Deck the House contest page from Nov. 26 to Dec. 16. Only residents of Patch towns—like Oak Creek—are eligible to enter. We’ll select 24 regional finalists, and from them, pick one grand prize winner. Deck Your House in Patch's Holiday Contest, Win $100,000 for Oak Creek Schools

Submit photos of your decked-out house for a chance to win money for your schools, electric bill.

Does your house outshine all others when it comes to holiday decorations? If the answer is yes, enter Patch's Deck the House Contest for a chance to win $100,000 for the Oak Creek-Franklin School District or $500 toward your electric bill! (Not to mention bragging rights in your neighborhood) Users will vote for the best-decked house in their town. From there, Patch judges will select 24 finalists nationwide, who will get their December electric bill paid by Patch (up to $500). The grand prize winner receives a $100,000 donation to their local school system. The contest will be held through Dec. 26.
