'New Day For Oak Creek': City Unveils New Logo, Branding

The city is re-branding itself as it embarks on several major development projects and continues to transform.

The way Oak Creek city leaders see it, the community is heading into a new era. As it embarks on major development projects at the former Delphi site, lakefront and Oakwood Road, the city has released a new logo as part of a major re-branding of the community. It's the first logo change in more than 20 years and will slowly begin showing up on street signage, welcome signs, business cards and all other city-branded materials. And the logo is just the start. Over the coming weeks and months, the city will unveil a new website, a "My Oak Creek" YouTube series and a social media campaign called "Around the Town with Mayor Steve." I could have made the same logo and it wouldn't have cost Oak Creek anywhere near $300,000. What a WASTE of the taxpayers money. Also, one thing you never hear about is what stores are lined up for the Drexel Town Square outside of that DREADFUL Meijers, and Brick 3 Pizza. Firm Wants to 'Tell Story of Oak Creek'

The Oak Creek Common Council has approved a $111,000 contract with Savage Solutions, which aims to better market and brand the city.

With high-profile development projects at the former Delphi site and lakefront still in the beginning stages, Oak Creek officials felt now is the time to bring a firm on board to market and brand the city. The Oak Creek Common Council on Tuesday approved a $111,000 contract with Savage Solutions, a marketing consulting firm that has worked with many local and national clients. Company President Cory Savage said he has met numerous times with Oak Creek staff to exchange ideas and talk about ways to promote the city. Actually Mark, the mayor and Michalski are democrats. I don't think the rest know. Rietz sure acts like a republican the rest probably want to bees.
