Boy Accused of Murdering Sikh Temple Member Appears in Court

A 16-year-old boy charged with the murder of Oak Creek Sikh Temple member Dalbir Singh waived his right to a preliminary hearing during a court appearance Tuesday, according to Patch's media partners at Fox 6. Deangelo Williams was charged with first-degree reckless homicide-party to a crime and possession of a firearm by a felon. He is accused of shooting Singh at Harmony Food Store, 3821 W. Locust St., on Aug. 15. Singh and his nephew tried to fend off Williams as the store closed about 9 p.m., but Williams fired a shot through the door that struck Singh in the head, according to a criminal complaint. The murder came just 11 days after the shootings at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin, where six members were killed and four others injured. …
