Room Key Mix-Up Leads To Theft of Purse, Clothes

A 24-year-old Arizona woman is a suspect in a hotel room theft at Days Inn, which occurred after to a mix-up at the front counter.

A 24-year-old Arizona woman had an interesting response when given the wrong room key at an Oak Creek hotel last week: Steal the clothes and purse of the person staying there. According to a police report, the woman took advantage of a mix-up at the Days Inn front counter and got off with more than $2,000 worth of valuables and clothes belonging to a woman staying at the hotel with co-workers. The hotel front desk worker told police he accidentally gave the suspect the victim's room key after forgetting the room was already assigned. A short time later, the suspect and an unidentified man checked out, saying the room was dirty, according to the police report. Woman Charged After Arrest At Days Inn

Police were called to hotel after housekeeping staff found needles and narcotics in one of the rooms.

A 25-year-old Sun Prairie woman has been charged after her arrest Saturday at an Oak Creek Days Inn.  Sydney Marie Yelk was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday with possession of a narcotic drug. If convicted, she faces up to 3 ½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines. Officers were called to the hotel, 1201 W. College Ave., about 12:30 p.m. after housekeeping staff discovered needles and narcotics inside a room of the hotel, 1201 W. College Ave. Police officers saw Yelk pull into the parking lot about 3:30 p.m., according to a criminal complaint. Housekeepers' Discovery Leads to Drug Arrest

A 25-year-old Sun Prairie woman was arrested after hotel employees found needles and narcotics inside the Oak Creek Days Inn.

A housekeeping staff discovery of needles and narcotics inside a Days Inn hotel room led to the arrest Saturday of a 25-year-old Sun Prairie woman. Officers were called to the hotel, 1201 W. College Ave., about 12:30 p.m., according to an Oak Creek police report. No one was in the room at the time, but police were told the occupants would return. At 3:30 p.m., an officer saw a vehicle with suspended plates enter the parking lot. The officer spoke with the woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle. She admitted drugs were in the vehicle but didn't remember where she hid them, she told police. Police found several drug paraphernalia items — dirty syringes, a metal cup and rubber bands among them — in the hotel room and vehicle, according to …

Citations Issued After Prom Celebration in Hotel

Police called to Days Inn after teenagers allegedly set off fire alarms and smoked marijuana. Sixteen high schoolers were escorted from premises.

A group of teenagers celebrating prom were kicked out of an Oak Creek hotel early Saturday morning for allegedly setting off fire alarms and smoking marijuana. According to an Oak Creek police report, a Days Inn employee called police about 3:15 a.m. requesting help in evicting occupants of seven rooms in the hotel, 1201 W. College Ave. An officer arrived and noted a strong odor of marijuana along with a small number of open intoxicants, according to the report. Two boys, age 16 and 17, were cited for possession of marijuana. The 16-year-old was also cited for a curfew violation. A total of 16 teenagers left the hotel. Man Faces Up to 12½ Years On Drug Charge

Oak Creek police say on two separate occasions in March they found suspect with heroin on him.

A Milwaukee man is facing charges after Oak Creek police allegedly caught him with heroin on two separate occasions in March. Kevin T. Tice, 30, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Saturday with one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. If convicted, he faces up to 12 ½ years in prison and $25,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On March 7, police were tipped off that Tice was staying at the American Motel in Franklin and planned to sell heroin to another person in a parking lot near 27th Street and Rawson Avenue. A 54-year-old Milwaukee man is facing charges after he was allegedly caught in a heroin transaction at an Oak Creek hotel. Douglas Edward Gardner was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Thursday with one count of possession with intent to deliver more than 3 grams of a controlled substance. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison and $50,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On Monday, Oak Creek police officers received information that a person was going to be involved in a transaction scheduled to take place at Days Inn, 1201 W. Woman Charged In Oak Creek Prostitution Sting

Suspect and another woman allegedly met undercover police at a hotel.

A 28-year-old Milwaukee woman is facing multiple charges after she was caught by Oak Creek police in an undercover prostitution investigation. According to a criminal complaint, police set up a rendezvous with Andrea S. McCoy and another woman named “Jazz” via an ad on backpage.com. They agreed to meet at the Days Inn, 1201 W. College Ave. Upon arriving, Jazz and McCoy said they would perform sexual acts while the officers watched in exchange for $50, according to the complaint. The two were arrested by police and after searching McCoy, officers found ammunition in her purse and jacket. During a search of her car, officers found a .357 revolver and a marijuana blunt, the complaint said. McCoy is charged with one count of carrying a …

Oak Creek Police Make Drug Bust At Days Inn

Police say 30-year-old had more than 500 grams of marijuana.

A 30-year-old Mequon man was arrested Wednesday at Days Inn after he was allegedly found with more than 500 grams of marijuana. Officers came to the hotel, 1201 W. College Ave., about 3:20 p.m. after a caller reported a hallway reeking of marijuana, according to a police report. When officers knocked on the door, they heard a window open. Police later found five grams of marijuana in a bag outside the window, the report said. A search by a police canine resulted in officers finding 522 grams of marijuana in a vacuum-sealed bag in the man's vehicle, according to police. He was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession with intent to deliver. He has not yet been charged.
