Upgrades Coming to Oak Creek Historical Museum
Improvements to Town Hall are just some of the changes afoot for Oak Creek Historical Society.
Visitors to the Oak Creek Historical Society can expect a number of improvements when it opens to the public again this spring. The pioneer village of the Oak Creek Historical Museum - consisting of a cabin, summer kitchen, blacksmith shop, farm shed, print shop and town hall - has stood near the corner of Forest Hill and 15th Avenue since 1964. The structures, however, are old and have been moved around the city, thus requiring much upkeep year after year. For the past 11 years, the society’s president, Elroy Honadel, and his wife Nancy, have gone to great measures to preserve and improve the museum.
