One person was hospitalized after they rolled their car on Interstate 94, which was shut down for almost an hour Sunday night.
**Updated 8:20 p.m. Patch has learned the female victim taken to Froedtert Hospital Sunday after a rollover crash on I-94 just after 5 p.m. is suffering from a head injury. A family member Sunday night confirmed their relative suffered a head injury from the crash, but could not provide a prognosis or details about her condition. The crash happened on I-94 near the Highway K bridge. Deputies with the Racine County Sheriff's Department shut down all three lanes of traffic on Interstate 94 going eastbound just south of Highway K and then allowed the cars to get back on the Interstate at the Highway E ramp. SWAT Team, Cudahy Police and Racine County Sheriff's Department surround a Caledonia home for three hours.
A standoff in Caledonia involving a Cudahy man with a gun ended in the 3400 block of Six Mile Road at a family member’s home Saturday night. The man, who evaded police in Cudahy and Oak Creek, surrendered after three hours in Caledonia, according to a statement sent out by the Cudahy Police Department. The man was reportedly picked up from Oak Creek and Cudahy police tracked the man to Caledonia by his cell phone after he was picked up by someone in a vehicle. The name of the man has not been released. An official with the Cudahy Police Department said the man has not been charged criminally, but that is something they are working on. After searching for more than an hour, the man remains at large.
Law enforcement officials searched for a man for more than an hour after he fled from a Racine County Sheriff’s Deputy during a traffic stop on Interstate 94 Friday afternoon. As of 10 p.m. Friday, May 13 the man was still at large. The deputy stopped the man at 3:10 p.m. driving a black Dodge Neon for a registration violation going northbound on Interstate 94 just north of Seven Mile Road. But during the traffic stop the man, and a female passenger, fled the scene on foot, said Sgt. Chuck Gehrand, of the Racine County Sheriff’s Department. ‘The deputy was able to take the female into custody, but the male continued into a wooded area near I-94 between Seven and Seven and a Half Mile Road,” Gehrand said. “He was last seen in a wooded area …
