Oak Creek To Host County Executive's Speech

Chris Abele will deliver his second State of the County address at the Oak Creek municipal courtroom.

Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele will come to Oak Creek to deliver his State of the County address. Abele will speak at 11 a.m. Monday in the Oak Creek municipal courtroom, 301 W. Ryan Road. Update: Jursik Calls For Action On County Facilities Plan

Supervisor responds to Abele's State of the County address.

Update 9:20 a.m. Wednesday John T. Zapfel, deputy chief of staff for County Executive Chris Abele, said a draft of the contract with CBRE Group, which won the bid, is being reviewed by the county's Community Business Development Partners group and will then go to corporation counsel for its review. The contract will then need final signatures from both the county and CBRE. County Supervisor Pat Jursik, who represents a portion of Oak Creek on the Milwaukee County Board, called on County Executive Chris Abele to move forward on a facilities plan that was part of the 2012 budget. Public Invited to State of County Address

Address will be first for Interim County Executive Lee Holloway.

Interim Milwaukee County Executive Lee Holloway will give the 2011 State of the County address Jan. 26 at the Milwaukee County Mental Health Complex auditorium, 9455 W. Watertown Plank Road, Wauwatosa.  All Milwaukee County residents are invited to attend. The event begins at noon. The annual event is Holloway's first since he took over the county executive's office after Scott Walker was sworn in as governor.
