YoFresh Yogurt Readies for Opening

The frozen yogurt chain is set to make its debut at the corner of Puetz and Howell.

A new frozen yogurt business at Howell Avenue and Puetz Road in Oak Creek is just about ready to open. Workers are putting the finishing touches on YoFresh Yogurt Cafe, 8701 S. Howell Ave., before it officially opens its doors at 11 a.m. Monday. The self-serve restaurant offers a variety of flavors and toppings so customers can mix and match as they please. YoFresh Yogurt also serves gourmet coffee, cappuccino and hot chocolate, co-owner Steve Karabon said. Soups may be added later. The store's hours, at least to start, are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. A grand opening celebration is tentatively scheduled for Dec. 1. Frozen Yogurt Chain Lands In Oak Creek

YoFresh Yogurt Cafe will open in the multi-tenant North Shore Bank building at the corner of Puetz and Howell. The owners hope to open by early October.

Former Milwaukee County Sheriff's Deputy Steve Karabon wasn't content to sit around and take it easy during his retirement. So he decided to try his hand at running a business. He and his fiancee, Annie Piontek, spent many hours researching franchise opportunities and thinking about what business they would be interested in running. As the days passed, frozen yogurt kept coming to the forefront. They eventually found a franchise — YoFresh Yogurt Cafe — they liked.
