Oak Creek Man Allegedly Breaks Into a Garage, Then Gets In Accident
Police found stolen golf clubs in a back seat while investigating a hit-and-run accident.
A 30-year-old Oak Creek man is facing felony charges after police say he broke into a garage and then was involved in a hit-and-run accident, leading to his arrest. Jamie Andrew Imler was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday with one count of burglary. If convicted, he faces up to 12 ½ years in prison and $25,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: At 1:15 p.m. Friday, Oak Creek police officers were called to a residence in the 8300 block of S. Chicago Road after a couple said someone stole golf clubs, a drill and fishing poles from their garage. The couple saw someone speed away from the garage in a 1970s-era Oldsmobile Cutlass.
