A 30-year-old man had a preliminary blood-alcohol content almost four times above the legal limit to drive, according to police.
A 30-year-old Oak Creek man is accused of driving drunk on S. Howell Avenue in front of an Oak Creek police officer Wednesday. David R. Asselin was charged Thursday in Milwaukee County Circuit Court third-offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, he faces up to one year in jail and $2,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: An Oak Creek police officer spotted Asselin driving erratically in the 9500 block of S. Howell Avenue and pulled him over. Asselin smelled of alcohol and was given a Breathalyzer test, which revealed a blood alcohol level of 0.29, nearly four times above the legal limit of intoxication to drive in Wisconsin. A 28-year-old Oak Creek man is in jail after police say he made a Taco Bell run following a night of heavy drinking. Steven A. Valvo was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Monday with third-offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, he faces up to one year in jail and $2,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: At 1:43 a.m. Monday, a witness spotted Valvo driving northbound in the 8000 block of S. Howell Avenue and swerving, so he contacted the Oak Creek Police Department and followed Valvo into a subdivision. Valvo then went to his home on Evandale Drive, where officers found him. Smith was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Sunday with third-offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, he faces up to one year in county jail and $2,000 in fines.
