Man Accused Of Robbing Woman In Her Home
Police say a 21-year-old South Milwaukee man entered a woman's home and took her purse at knifepoint.
A 21-year-old man is accused of entering an Oak Creek woman's home and robbing her of her purse at knifepoint. Alex J. Povlich of South Milwaukee has been charged with armed robbery with threat of force. He faces up to 40 years in prison and $100,000 in fines if convicted. According to a criminal complaint: On Oct. 17, a woman in the 8400 block of S. 15th Avenue heard her front door open about 10:05 p.m. and saw a white man wearing a baseball cap and holding a white ceramic knife. The man, whom she later identified as Povlich, approached her and said "all I want is your purse" and "I don't want to hurt you, where is your purse."
