ReplyI call bullsh*t! Who is stupid enough to keep that much cash in a restaurant? That would certainly be more than a days worth of profit. Could it be people are finally realizing Di Carlos food isn't any better than the frozen food at Woodman's and they need rent money? Di Carlos, if you are going to lie on a police report, at least make it believable.

ReplyChicago Motor Cars believes in safety? This must be something new. When we tried to buy a car from them, we found out that the rim of the car needed to be replaced because of severe safety concerns. Chicago Motor Cars didn't seem to care at all; it wasn't their problem. And what about the Honda Civic and the Hummer lawsuits Chicago Motor Cars was not only involved in, but lost? Chicago Motor Cars sold a Civic with an engine with thousands more miles on it than advertised. That has some safety concerns in my eyes. And the Hummer, Chicago Motor Cars claims the vehicle was never in an accident, but a reputable mechanic is sure that not only was the Hummer in an accident, but a rollover. How can that customer be sure the frame is in a safe condition? These are just 2 of the lawsuits brought against Chicago Motor Cars. What makes this article even more unbelievable, is that in a deposition, under oath, Chicago Motor Cars admits that their vehicle inspections, including safety inspections used to and may still only consist of "walking around a vehicle" and eyeballing it for any problems. I don't know about you, but that not only sounds extremely lazy and unreliable, but VERY unsafe! So after reading the above article, I can't help but wonder, does Chicago Motor Cars really believe in safety, or is this just another gimmick to sell a car?

ReplyI've used a search engine to read up on Chicago Motor Cars. How do people like that sleep at night? They knowingly misled innocent people just to close a deal, and potentially put their safety at risk, and to top it off, they are still in business! How is anyone supposed to trust anything they say? I know I'll just play it safe and make sure my family and friends know to stay away from that dealership.

ReplyA pizza place, really??? We have plenty of places on Howell alone to get pizza. Still not impressed Oak Creek.

ReplyGosh, I feel all warm and fuzzy inside. An imagination is one thing, realism is another. I think we need a team that is more realistic. "Downtown" Oak Creek, that is funny. This isn't Milwaukee and we can't keep pretending it is.

@vocal local 1, you think public transportation is going to solve the problem? These people aren't going to jump on a bus. Everyone carries a phone, if they didn't want to drive, they would call a cab. The problem is they think they are okay to drive. Having buses isn't going to solve poor decision making skills of an adult. As for your rant on heroin.....give parents credit, they aren't stupid. I think we have a lot of great parents in the area that are involved in their children's lives and are doing the best they can to assure they are clean, but that has nothing to do with this story of an adult making poor choices.

ReplyThat place has closed and reopened too many times for me to trust anything that goes on there. I would rather drive out of my way to go get gas. I'd even push my car to the next station before stopping there.

ReplyI completely agree with all comments above. To have the mentality that 'if we build it they will come' is absolutely ridiculous!! We live in a digital world and there is no way a library that is almost always empty now needs to be 60,000 square feet! There is nothing wrong with renovating a building that already exists.

Reply@Chris M., I couldn't agree more. Was VERY disappointed in my meal. It's an Italian restaurant, yet the lasagna didn't have any cheese. Where was the oozing goodness? I could have gotten what was on my plate from the freezer section at Woodman's.

Jill, I was wondering the same thing. How completely ridiculous!! I hope the old cranky bat got fined for abusing the system.
