ReplyGuns don't kill people Steve. People kill people by using guns. Let us look no further than our neighbors to the south and some of the strictest gun laws in our country. Tell me that their legislation is working in Illinois and Chicago in particular. A bad, sick, twisted and unstable person who wants to use a gun to harm others will find a way to do so. Expanding background checks does nothing to curb this.

ReplyThe best solution is not always the easiest.
What about a little intellectual and fiscal honesty.
Postpone the development of the New City Hall and Library until the City finds a suitable anchor. City Hall and the Library seem to be functioning quite nicely at the moment. Don't let the retailers dictate to the City what this project will contain and when it should happen.REFERENDUM!

ReplyWhat about Meier says "Destination!"
Woodman's, Pick N Save, Target, Kohls, TJ Maxx, etc, etc, etc all down the block.
Contentious is a mild word for the discontent to be expressed at the upcoming meeting.

ReplyPick n Save and Woodmans. Did we forget or are we willing to alienate Roundys Corporation and Woodmans who have been dedicated our community. I just don't see the need for another Grocer in a City of 34000 people.
Bad choice but moreover, an out and out betrayal of why the citizens of Oak Creek got on board to move City Hall and the Library. -

Why isn't Chisholm and his witch hunt posse all over this! Oh yeah, wrong side of the aisle. An investigation is in order to determine who is responsible for initiating and continuing negotiations with a de-certified union in Violation of Wisconsin Act 10.
