Reply@ Steve... Real MEN get their facts straight before spouting off on things they don't know about. Neighbors met with the Gustin's and saw what the carnage was about. Obviously you did not get the full tour. So unless you live close by you have NO SAY on this. So keep your name calling and inane comments to yourself. If you post again GET SOME FACTS FIRST.

Let's put things in the real perspective here. Years ago sewer sludge was permitted to be injected into soil in many community farm lands. Oak Creek was not one of them. So if you are accusing someone in the neighborhood ( which I believe you don't live in) of wrong doing where were you to blow the whistle on this community injustice? And then to suggest that Cheryle Melendez's death and others may be caused by a pig farmer spreading raw HUMAN FECES in his fields and you knew about it and said nothing suggests you are the gutless coward for not coming forward.

ReplySaw a roach crawling on counter where the cook puts out the food 2 weeks ago. Wife had a spider in her water (alive) couple years ago. She never went back. I'm done going there. Heard lots of stories.

ReplyTo all you posters that think the city made the wrong decision on this issue just remember what goes around comes around. If one of your neighbors decides to dump animal waste and tons of rotting fruit and veggies within hundreds of feet from your spread without any permits or knowing I just wonder how long it would take for you hypocrites to complain to city hall.

I agree Joe. The city went ahead with the fireworks knowing that fires were a possibility just as any other year. I commend the OCFD for being on the scene and getting the fire under control in a short period of time and also for their pre-planning in and around that area.

Maybe some sanity and finality will come, but I'm not holding my breath.
