Upset Neighbor Smashes TV, Cited for Disorderly Conduct

A dispute between a resident and a business resulted in a disorderly conduct citation.

A disgruntled neighbor of Checker Liquor, 9110 S. Chicago Road, took his frustrations out and ended up with a disorderly conduct ticket.

The man told police he was upset about the condition of the business, saying he spoke to the city on several occasions and did not feel enough was being done to clean up the property, according to a police report.

He confronted the owner and asked him if he wanted a TV smashed on the sidewalk in front of the business for customers to see, according to the report.
